You want to feel better.

Research shows that the quality of relationships is a key predictor of our overall health, well-being, and life satisfaction.

Here's the tricky thing: they can both shape and strain us.

I offer relationally based therapy to help those navigating challenges in raising children, relationship tension, and/or those feeling stuck in unhelpful relationship patterns. 

 

 I thrive in supporting parents feeling overwhelmed by their children, helping them find more balance and confidence to reduce stress in family life, as well as individuals/couples looking to untangle the impact of their histories to allow for more fulfilling, healthy relationships, and reduce emotional symptoms.

 (like anxiety and depression)

 

If this is you, we’ll explore how past and present dynamics influence

how you think, feel, and behave, and begin to work towards more desired outcomes.

My role is to get to know you, understand how you tick, and help you better understand yourself in this way, too. I'll guide you through reflection, challenge, and growth. We will look at what's working, what's not, and adjust along the way to move you closer to the happiness you deserve and that is long overdue. 

 

There’s no one-size-fits-all in my therapy space.

I tailor our work to your goals, personality,

and rhythms of your life and relationships. 

My therapeutic style is warm and laid-back, using a healthy dose of humor when appropriate, with the goal of challenging you in gentle and direct ways to promote movement towards

your best and ideal self.

Having a neutral space and a neutral person can serve as a helpful mirror—offering clarity around what might be contributing to how you feel. It’s  an important place to explore how any changes you make could ripple through your life and relationships. Together, we’ll build skills to navigate these shifts so you feel more confident supporting yourself and better able to help others understand how to support you, too.

Relationships require effort. Each person carries their own history, expectations, and ways of interacting. It’s easy to get stuck in unhelpful patterns without a full understanding of where they come from or how to shift them. Having a third person can offer a fresh perspective- to make sense of what people bring to the metaphoric 'table' and learning how to work with these dynamics.

Approaching therapy as a family can be extremely effective, as it creates the opportunity for all members to learn and understand how behavior patterns are created and maintained. Family therapy can aid in increasing connection and discovering how to communicate around familial challenges while also considering individual experience, ultimately promoting the wellness of the whole family.
